I started crocheting on a rainy afternoon with a single skein of yarn and a hook I found at a thrift store. The first few rows were a tangled mess — but I was hooked (pun intended). Within a month I'd made my first granny square blanket, and I haven't put down a hook since.

Needlepoint came a little later, introduced by my grandmother who had stitched for decades. Watching her work was mesmerizing — the rhythm, the color, the way a blank canvas slowly filled with life. I wanted that same meditative calm, and I found it.
